Anna Laudel Istanbul presents Hanefi Yeter‘s comprehensive solo exhibition titled “Vesile” between December 16, 2022 and March 19, 2023, featuring works of the artist’s various compositions, sculptures, drawings and ceramic works.

Hanefi Yeter has built his exhibition around the concepts of nature and human relations, reflecting both the blessings and beauties that nature provides, and the agonizing consequences of humankind’s attitude towards nature. While the artist’s goal is to raise awareness and sensitivity, he considers his art to be a part of the change.

The artist states that, in his previous production processes, he had the opportunity to communicate with the outer world more frequently. However, in his recent works from the past three years, Hanefi Yeter uses his unique perspective and way of expression to reflect the changes and developments experienced in a time of alienation and fear.

Inspired by the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates’ dictum “The unexamined life is not worth living”, one of the highlights of the exhibition is a collection of pottery hand-picked by the artist from the Ayvalık region in Turkey.

“Vesile”, also includes ceramic works that the artist has been passionately working on for some time.

Spanning two floors of Anna Laudel Istanbul, Hanefi Yeter’s solo exhibition “Vesile” can be seen at Anna Laudel Istanbul until February 11 March 19, 2023.

*The exhibition takes its name from the Turkish word “vesile” which is a unique expression of means, reason, cause, occasion and opportunity.
