Anna Laudel’s 2025 summer exhibition program continues with Özlem Yenigül’s second solo exhibition titled “One” with the Place. On view at Anna Laudel Bodrum from July 11 to August 3, 2025, the exhibition brings together works in which the artist questions and redefines the relationship between the individual and space from different perspectives.

Placing the strong interaction between humans and space at the center of her creative practice, Özlem Yenigül’s second solo exhibition “One” with the Place invites the viewer into a visual and intellectual dialogue around the concept of belonging. In this new exhibition, the artist seeks to answer the questions: “Do we feel like we belong? Or do we not?” She expands her focus beyond the concept of home, exploring whether simply being inside a place is enough. Yenigül addresses issues related to the human experience of belonging to a place through representations shaped by high-relief printmaking, hand-tufting, and punch-needle embroidery techniques.

“One” with the Place represents an important conceptual threshold in Özlem Yenigül’s body of work. With this exhibition, the artist goes beyond the tangible boundaries of “Home” and presents the sense of belonging sought in the second and third spaces that individuals occupy in their lives in a multilayered way. She questions what people feel and seek in the second and third spaces they connect with through their routines, beyond the central space of the home. Shaped around these questions, the exhibition opens space for new interpretations of the concept of belonging through the relationships individuals form with different environments.

While the title of the exhibition evokes a sense of unity with space, a site-specific woven wall installation extends beyond the gallery into the outdoor environment, challenging where a “place” begins and ends. By breaching the physical limits of the exhibition space, it invites viewers into a dynamic exploration that redefines spatial boundaries. In dialogue with the space, “One” with the Placeevokes imagery shared across cultures and beliefs, alluding to countless visual interpretations—including the myth of Adam and Eve, who were the first guests of “place.”

Presented shortly after her first solo exhibition in Istanbul, “One” with the Place highlights the continuity and evolution of Özlem Yenigül’s artistic practice. Taking place at Anna Laudel Bodrum between July 11 and August 3, 2025, “One” with the Place” invites viewers into a richly textured exploration of space and self, marking a resonant chapter in Özlem Yenigül’s evolving artistic journey.
