Known for his striking installations and innovative use of industrial materials, Daniele Sigalot returns with a new solo exhibition, “And Now For Something Completely Different”, on view at Anna Laudel Istanbul from September 12 to November 9, 2025.

The exhibition takes its name from the legendary British comedy group Monty Python, paying homage to their 1971 film of the same title. In Monty Python’s shows, the phrase “And Now For Something Completely Different” served as a recurring cue, abruptly shifting the audience to an entirely new and unexpected scene. Echoing this device, Sigalot’s witty, humor-driven style comes to the fore as he unveils a bold new body of work.

Sigalot’s works focus on the artist himself, his personal experiences, and his ironic perspective on the world. Seeking the absurd, the paradoxical, and the satirical, his practice often uncovers how these concepts remain hidden in everyday life. Through striking slogans and sculptural forms, he creates a friendly and introspective dialogue with the audience. The works in this exhibition question social norms and systems, inviting viewers to reflect and to confront their own realities. By skillfully blending humor with critique, Sigalot makes the ironies embedded in daily life visible.

The exhibition includes Sigalot’s autobiographical series “Still Life” and “The Ping Pong Paradox”, which reflect his past and inner conflicts through bold and colorful forms. “Still Life” symbolizes the tension between nature and artificiality, while “The Ping Pong Paradox” transforms the ongoing struggle between creativity and logic into a metaphorical game of table tennis.

“And Now For Something Completely Different” invites the audience to embrace the ironies of everyday life, confront paradoxes, and experience a unique encounter that pushes the boundaries of art.

Daniele Sigalot’s “And Now For Something Completely Different” exhibition will be open to visitors at Anna Laudel Istanbul between September 12 – November 9, 2025.

The current exhibition program across the Istanbul, Düsseldorf, and Bodrum galleries can be followed at annalaudel.gallery and on social media channels.
